Some encouraging news from TechServe Alliance demonstrates how tech employment remains steady despite strong demand for talent coupled with a low supply. From 2021, IT employment rose 0.64% this May. Additionally, the job growth rate in the engineering sector expanded to 3.96%.
According to Mark Roberts, CEO of TechServe Alliance, “Demand for tech talent continues to remain strong, as shown by the record low unemployment rate for technology professionals. In this tight labor market, hiring managers must be mindful of the expectations and demands of the tech workforce as we navigate through the complexities of work-from-anywhere culture to hire and retain employees, especially in the specialized tech roles.”
