What is generative AI? You’re probably familiar with AI or the term, but how about when it’s generative? The tool allows the machines to learn a digital representation of artifacts using sample data and generates new models.
According to AI multiple, “Generative AI is the technology to create new content by utilizing existing text, audio files, or images. With this type of AI, computers detect the underlying pattern related to the input and produce similar content.”
One example of generative AI in use is how one U.K company, Financial Conduct Authority, used the tool to create data related to their payments process. Now, they can create new fraud models that conceal patients’ data.
Generative AI is a top technology trend for businesses in 2022. A few ways that organizations are implementing this exciting tool to push their business forward include:
- Enhancing existing workflows
- Identity protection
- Strengthened machine learning models
- Data security
However, it’s also of note that this type of AI can also pose certain safety and cybersecurity risks, like:
- Overestimation of capabilities
- Unexpected outcomes
- Data privacy
